Dale Appleby was the locum minister at St Mark's Bassendean, in the Diocese of Perth, from 2016 - 2021. Since then he has served as a locum at Carnarvon and Geraldton.

Dale was educated in Sydney, and worked as a primary school teacher on the North Coast of NSW for three years. After studying theology at Moore College in Sydney, he was ordained in the Diocese of Perth in 1973 by Archbishop Geoffrey Sambell. He served in Fremantle and Whitfords parishes before working in Darwin at St. Peter's Nightcliff for six years. He was the Rector of Highgate parish in the Diocese of Perth for 14 years, 1988 -2003, the minister at All Saints Jakarta from 2003 - 2009, and the Rector of Willetton parish in the Diocese of Perth from 2009 - 2015.

Dale is married to Joy, who was a teacher of Indonesian and ESL. They have four married children and eleven grandchildren.
