Reports suggest the change of law in Sweden has had some significant benefits. More info on the ACL website, Family Voice, the Attorney General's website, or google “Sweden’s prostitution laws”.

And  will the Labour Party’s Conference change their election commitment about marriage? Will the gay lobby have another win there? Is it worth Christians letting local labour MPs know their opinion?

An article I read this week commented on how God had become King of the world. The writer said that Christians had tended to interpret this to mean he was King of the Next World. The puzzle for Christians is how God is King now. One of the answers is that he rules through his servants. Servants who live the King’s way, who act as salt in a decaying world, or light in a darkening world. Who mourn over sin, who live meekly, speak from pure hearts and repay evil with blessing.

Servants who live in the King’s world. The one he is redeeming. Not the ones who live in a monastery, or ghetto, or who have taken refuge (in disguise) in the enemy’s camp.

Servants who know that redemption comes through faith in Christ, and that the redeemed are left in a hostile world as lights to hold out the word of life to all the others.
